On December 13th, my TC Central hockey team will be playing against TC West at Howe Arena. I know my biggest fan will be in the stands, my Grandma, Linda Peters. She has traveled across the state of Michigan since I started skating at the age of 3 to watch me play the sport I love. She not only cheers for me, but always knows all of my teammates by name and jersey number, and is proud of all of us. In 2013 she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She continued to travel across the state to watch all 7 of her grandsons play hockey. Even after surgery and in between chemotherapy treatments, she was there. This past spring, we got bad news that the cancer was back and had spread. I have dreamed of being a Trojan and wearing Sweet Black and Gold since I can remember. On December 13th, Howe Arena will be filled with TC Hockey fans. I know one fan, my Grandma Linda, will be there cheering for the Trojans. I skate for Grandma Linda, she is hockey tough.
