Running a marathon is not just an accomplishment, but a privilege. With every mile, I'm thankful for the luxury of time to spend training, the nutritious food I afford, Boston's safe streets and trails to explore, healthy limbs with which I was born, and the network of family, friends and coworkers who cheer me on. When I run the Richmond marathon, I'm not running alone - I'm carried by a system of support, a network of relationships, and the energy of love. For my birthday and second marathon, I'm asking for your help to meet the unmet basic needs of others less fortunate than me by donating to Health Leads, a social enterprise addressing the social factors that impact people's health.
This is Carrie's second fundraiser for Health Leads, an organization founded by Rebecca Onie dedicated to a vision of health, well-being and dignity for every person, in every community. Carrie, Leah and Stevie are delighted to team up for this cause!
