Poverty is the single greatest threat to a child’s well-being. 44% of children that live in the US live in low-income families. Only 9% of children from families in the lowest income quartile graduate college by 24. New City Kids’ mission is to love kids for change, and to create a community of academic, leadership, musical, and spiritual development. They commit to mentor a child in need from age six to eighteen and to be their advocate, teacher, and friend.
New City Kids aims to draw children into hope by helping to develop their skills, talents, and desires for their future. By surrounding them with a community of love and development, New City Kids strives to set youth on a path of transformation that will carry them forward for the rest of their lives. There are five New City Kids After School Centers where 150 local high school students are employed and they teach 311 1st – 8th grade students annually!
Capco has been pleased to support New City Kids over the past four years! Help Capco continue to make an impact by supporting New City Kids to ensure that more students can benefit from the life-changing support that the New City Kids organization provides.
