Smiles Across the Miles: Survivorship on the Go is a new Cancer Support Community Arizona initiative that will hit the streets---literally!
Between March 18-April 12, help Cancer Support Community Arizona reach our goal of $6,000 by investing your support in the lives of ANYONE impacted by cancer in Arizona.
Survivorship on the Go is a customized mobile truck that will arrive in the neighborhoods and workplaces of the most underserved and underinsured populations in Arizona. Literally moving beyond traditional physical locations that represent barriers to access for our identified population, we can physically reach those we previously could not. Survivorship on the Go will increase awareness of the broad range of Cancer Support Community Arizona support services and create social connections through mind-body-wellness and expressive arts experiences throughout Arizona.
Survivorship on the Go rolls through cities and towns across Arizona, meeting cancer patients and survivors, caregivers and family members where they live, work, play and worship.
Cancer Support Community Arizona is poised to launch Survivorship on the Go, a novel rolling wheels style of delivery of emotional support services to people impacted by cancer. The incredible aspect? Cancer Support Community Arizonaprovides these services free of charge, never wavering in its commitment to reducing stress, worry and financial burden to those on a cancer journey.
