Hello Family & Friends,
I'll keep this short and sweet. F***ing Cancer strikes again. As most of you know, our mom has been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Small Cell Lymphoma. This is obviously bad news that no one would wish on their worst enemeny. However, the prognosis is, all things considered, good! The amount of support we have received from family and friends to this point has been incredible. Mom (Tari) has moved mountains for each one of us reading this note here today. Even while going through treatment, she is constantly worried more about her kids and husband than herself. She has gone to most of her treatments on her own, and has woken up every single day with a smile on her face while dealing with what would cause a lot of us to at least sleep in from time to time... Not her! Let's face it, if you know our mom, you know she's kind of a bad ass.. she skied on a broken ankle for 4 hours without complaining once for cyring out loud..
Anyways, here we are as the Holiday season is upon us. We all put food on our tables, have a roof over our heads, and new clothes on our backs. The Miller family is very fortunate, beyond grateful, some would say spoiled even, to be able to have Mom go through these treatments without the burden of a medical bill posing a threat to our next meal. This is far from the truth for many people battling the same F***ing cancer as Mom. So the Miller kids decided we want to do something about it. Through this foundation, Cancer Care, we are assisting someone in covering their next copayment so they can receive the treatment needed. Anythying helps! We all know Mom would do anyting for anyone that needed help. Lets show her we're all capable of doing the same, and hopefully make someone else out there battling F***ing Cancer's day a little bit better? FYI-Last year, this foundation raised almost $40 Million in Copayment Assistance funds. That's helping cover almost 27,000 treatments!
The donations will be made in Mom (Tari's) name. This is a surprise so please don't say anything to her. We'll be telling her about it during our family Christmas to hopefully bring a smile to her face knowing that her strength and courage has inspired the rest of us to make the world just a little bit better place!
Thank you all so much for the constant support for our family, for Momma Bear, and just for those who need it! Merry Christmas to all!
The Miller Kids
