Cancer is a scary thing, but without a little fear, there is no fight... On November 19th, 2018, Audrey Berg, CJ Cazel, and Marissa Emery will summit the Inca Trail up to Machu Picchu. To carry on the fight, we will be carrying with us a flag covered with the names of family and friends who have courageously battled cancer, and those who are still fighting. Their names will be on our Team CancerClimber flag that will remain at the summit to commemorate their struggle. If you know someone whose name belongs on the flag, please comment or email marissa.emery@gmail.com.
If you choose to donate, 100% of the funds raised go towards:
- developing a mobile camp for young adults with cancer
- personal visits to patients by survivors to inspire hope
- adventure grants
- inspiring all those touched by cancer to focus on LIVING
The mobile camp for young adults will travel to children’s hospitals around the country providing them with the experience of a “personal expedition” while instilling confidence through a safe environment. Counseling and support to the children and their families will also be provided.
Our Mission is to help those touched by cancer by focusing on living an active, healthy lifestyle. To learn more about CancerClimber and how to get involved, please visit http://www.cancerclimber.org/ or contact us at info@cancerclimber.org
