Healthcare professionals in New York City hospitals are diverting all efforts to combat the Covid-19 pandemic. They are putting themselves at risk to help those in need as they continue to treat infected patients without adequate protection. Most of our Society’s members are these professionals. Many our own Board members are those hospital employees. We are also sad to report that some of our members and friends are patients fighting for their lives. We need to stop the spread of this devastating virus. We cannot afford to lose any more healthcare professionals during this time because they were treating patients without proper protection. Everyone’s medical training and expertise is desperately needed during this time. 100% of your donation will go towards the purchasing of PPE to be distributed to front line workers at our New York City partner hospitals.
There is still so much to learn about this disease. What we do know is that we need the public’s help to help stop the spread. Social distancing is imperative. Please continue to stay home, wash your hands, and practice good hygiene. We are counting on all of you to help us protect ourselves, and our colleagues in New York City and around the globe. Together we can and will make a difference.
