Camp Watchme is the first ever summer camp for kids with lymphedema in the United States. Camp Watchme will be July 18-21 in Durant Oklahoma at a beautiful cabin located on multiple acres of lush green fields. Most children look forward to summer camps where they make friends and memories that last a lifetime, but for some children with lymphedema or lymphatic malformations that is not their reality.
The purpose of Camp Watchme is to bring children with lymphedema together to build friendships, confidence and a community for their journeys ahead with lymphedema. What is also unique about Camp Watchme is that each camper is encouraged to bring an adult caregiver with them for a caregiver retreat. While the kids are having fun playing camp games the adults will have structured time to relax, connect with others, and learn more about Lymphedema treatment. Campers will also have structured educational sessions to learn about MLD, compression benefits, and treatment options so they are building confidence in their treatment requirements.
When you donate to Camp Watchme you cover costs of family registration, food, education materials, and facility fees. This inaugural camp is the first of its kind in the United States, and likely the world as it includes a caregiver retreat, please join our efforts to support these children living with lymphedema.
Camp Watchme is hosted by Lymphedema Podcast, Ninjas Fighting Lymphedema Foundation, & Brylan's Feat.
