Celebrating 75 years of quality programing, Camp Waskowitz provides students in Highline and other school districts in the greater Seattle area with a variety of programs that focus on connecting with nature and personal growth.
Thousands of particpants have been a part of Waskowitz programs. Whether it was a day program, an overnight program, or just a quick visit, it is often argued that Waskowitz is many people's home away from home.
The "Old Barn" is a well known space at camp. Over the years students, high school leaders, and even teachers have stood upon the stage and performed a traditional Waskowitz skit or song! These are the moments that many remember years after their week in the woods.
While the adorned "orange curtain" (that once was red believe it or not) has been hung in the barn for at least over 30 years, the time has come to replace this piece of history! Not only had this curtain reached is lifetime in mechanics, it has been mended more times than we can count. With recent events, the concerns of sanitation and safety also need to be considered.
We are requesting support to redesign and reimagine how we can take the "Old Barn" into the next generation. Money raised will go towards purchasing a new curtain and installation fees. Your donation will be the background to thousands of students, leaders, and teachers highlight of their week. This is definitley the gift that keeps on giving!
