Mr Viwat Wongphattarathiti and Ms. Natha Mahantapol, A thai couple, whose goal and dream is to run in the Boston Marathon 2020 for charity
Becoming a part of the Boston Marathon 2020 has been our ultimate running goal in which we have worked and trained extremely hard for.
We are proud to have been able to complete 5 marathons.
Boston Marathon 2020 will be our last The World Marathon Majors for Six Stars Medal!!!
Running has changed our lives
My wife, Natha Mahantapol, and I are both 49 years old from Bangkok, Thailand. We own a television program production & event organizing company that create platforms and events for children and the youth. We dedicated 29 years of our lives into creating for young people and building our organization into a respected production house well known in Thailand.
Due to the dedication to our work, exercise was always a secondary priority to us. Until 5 years ago, after a few visits to the hospital, we’ve realized that we’ve been neglecting our health. It became clear to us that in order to keep doing the work that we love, we were going to have to change our lifestyle and make time for exercise. That’s how our running journey began. Both of us are now in the best shapes of our lives and have collectively lost 25kg in weight.
We may not be fast runners, nor are we great runners. But we LOVE running. We’ve been spreading our love and sharing our journey with others along the way. So needless to say, to be able to run in the Boston Marathon 2020 for charity and to be representing a cause we’ve also dedicated our lives to, it would go on to become one of the proudest achievements of our lives.
Why we would like to run with Camp Shriver??
We have chosen to run for Camp Shriver because we share a common belief in the potential of children. We believe that within every child hides capabilities and creativity waiting for the right opportunity to unlock.
In Addition, We see the same importance in Camp Shirver's mission that where children can learn and play... as equals! and they would like to bring children with and without disabilities together to provide opportunities for social and motor development, while promoting positive peer relationships among campers. and beyond impressed, we would like to an play active part in supporting the continuation of their good work.
"30 Days Marathon Challenge for Camp Shriver"
30 Days Marathon Challenge for Camp Shriver was born out of our strong belief that running is a path of self-development that leads to a better life.
This Visual Run, they can enjoy the run at their own pace regardless of place, time, or distance covered in each run. The only condition of the challenge is that they have to complete the 42.195 km or the 26 miles distance within 30 days.
After the 30 Days:There will be a conclusion of results. Medals will be sent out to participants that managed to finish the marathon distance.
While the purpose of the challenge is to help participants achieve their personal goals and proud of themselves, they will also get to become a part of enabling the charity to encourage the same in young people that the Camp Shriver works with.
