Camp Natoma needs your help to bridge to our 80th Anniversary!
Since 1941, Camp Natoma has provided an outdoor, life enriching, sleep under the stars experience for generations of local youth including swimming, hiking, teambuilding, archery, arts & crafts, drama, geocaching, animal tracking and backpacking.
As is true for so many others, the pandemic has drastically interrupted operations for this year. Postponed fundraisers, delayed grants & cancelled custom camp programs – all sources of critical income – have left us vulnerable and concerned about maintaining our infrastructure and supporting our year- round staff.
Uncertainties about summer programs and certainties about skyrocketing operational costs to meet new CDC guidelines for safe operations in the world with Covid19, have forced us to ask for your help to ensure that Camp Natoma will be around to mark its 80th Anniversary in 2021.
On the bright side - last year was a monumental success for Camp Natoma, transitioning to entirely local leadership, expanding our resources to improve the facility and providing camp for over 800 youth. We are making plans to celebrate the 80th and we need you to help us get there!
We kindly ask you to consider giving to (and becoming one of the) Friends of Camp Natoma on May 5, 2020 for #GivingTuesdayNow so we can confidently move in to the summer season and beyond.
Your gift will help with fixed expenses, support our program staff and help us prepare to provide camp as soon as we can. This is a time when kids need camp more than ever!
A note to donors - all taxpayers are eligible to take a deduction due to the recent CARES Act stimulus bill - a one-time, above-the-line deduction for cash contributions of up to $300.
