Help us support our youth during this time of need.
Now more than ever our youth need social emotional learning. During the COVID-19 pandemic we are all under an unprecedented amount of stress and facing challenges no one could have predicted. Youth need support, healthy coping strategies, and tools to help them recognize and regulate the complex whirlwind of emotions they are experiencing. This is not an easy time for anyone, but is especially hard on developing minds. Experiencing this stress is considered trauma, which can have longlasting effects on youth's mental, physical, and emotional health. At Camp Fire, we are striving to support our youth and families as much as possible, and equip them with tools and strategies to thrive despite their challenges. We are actively using the latest research and developing a virtual social emotional learning program specific to the current pandemic, but we need your help. We have lost the majority of our funds due to school closures, cancelled contracts, and redistribution of partner resources. We need the community's help to compensate our dedicated staff and ensure that our programs can reach youth on the best platform possible, even those without internet. Every day, our committed staff work to support youth throughout New Jersey. Now, they need our help.
We kindly ask that you join us in supporting us in our mission to mimimize this pandemic's effects on youth and families. Your gift will help provide immediate financial support so that we may compensate our hardworking employees, print materials, and distribute our program to as many youth and families as possible . We are all in this together, let's ignite change.
