I Need your help.................. a half ironman has been done and i would like to raise more.........
I am 39 years old and I was born with clubfoot, as a child the mental side was probably just as difficult as the physical. Having this challange now gives me more strength and motivation not less......... but without the surgery none of this would be possible, we are now in a age where body image is such a massive issue, we have to remember that as human beings we are fantastic, and can achieve anything.
Thanks to my parents, and having good access to doctors, I had corrective surgery to walk at a very young age, I would like to raise money to help children who do not have access to surgery, to give them a chance to succeed in life.
From January 2018 i decided to start my training, i have built my fitness from nothing, (105kg and not able to run 2-3klms.) I have pain but this is manageable and i have to prove there is no giving up. I encourage everyone to get behind me and donate so other children can have the opportunities in life i have been given.
I also want anyone who reads this to realise anything is possible, all you need is the right goal, the motivation and the support from the people around you
I am 16 Months into my journey, it has taken alot more out of me and the family than i thought, training has been hard but the goal will be worth it. Penny will be thankfull when sundays are not spent in the garage on the static bike trainer.
I will prove to myself and to others that having a difference growing up in life does not have to dictate your future.
