Cadet Lacrosse 2018 Cancer Night Fundraiser
Cancer is a disease that effects everyone. Each of us knows someone that has gone through, or is going through a battle with this horrible disease. Each year, the Saint Thomas Academy Lacrosse team chooses a game to honor those who have gone through, or are going through a battle with cancer. This year the team has chosen to raise both funds and awareness for the fight against kidney cancer. It is projected that there will be 63,340 new cases of kidney cancer in 2018, and nearly 15,000 deaths from this disease. Each one of these diagnoses is a parent, sibling, father, or mother. With your help we hope to raise $5,000 to help win this fight. Any gift, small or large makes a huge difference. All funds raised go to support the Team8, and their Climb 4 Kidney Cancer initiative. CLIMB 4 KIDNEY CANCER IS A DIVISION OF TEAM8, A 501-C NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO PROMOTING WELLNESS AND ITS CONNECTION TO CANCER PREVENTION AND IMPROVED CANCER SURVIVAL, WHILE RAISING FUNDS FOR KIDNEY CANCER RESEARCH AND PATIENT ADVOCACY. This year's cancer night game will be Monday, May 14, 2018, the Saint Thomas Academy Lacrosse team takes on rival Cretin Derham Hall at 7:00 p.m. in Gerry Brown Stadium on the Campus of STA. Wear your orange, and make a gift to help us in our efforts.
