C Three Foundation wrote: Alcohol. It's a part of holiday celebrations. It's a part of most people's everyday lives. But when "just one" turns into "how did this happen again?" it might be time for a little help.
Since 2013, the C Three Foundation has been raising awareness of a revolutionary treatment for alcohol use disorder that is effective for the occasional binge drinker who wants to cut down, for the person with decades of daily harmful alcohol use, and everyone in between.
Why growing the TSM provider and support network is important
No one should have to beg their doctor for treatment that can save their life. And every day, that is happening. People are making the decision to reduce or eliminate their alcohol consumption, going to their doctor, and then their doctor refuses to help by prescribing an inexpensive, generic medication for alcohol harm reduction.
Too often this refusal results in people going to great lengths to treat themselves. These determined individuals often do whatever it takes to obtain the medication and then reduce their drinking using TSM on their own without the medical supervision they want and deserve.
Why don't more doctors know about the Sinclair Method?
Five years ago, only about half a dozen providers around the world were known to use the Sinclair Method (TSM) in their practice. By November 2017 that number had risen to 90. In the last 12 months, that number has risen to nearly 170 -- a global increase of 2,733% in only five years!
How C Three Foundation expands our Verified TSM Provider Network
C Three Foundation exhibits at several addiction conferences each year. Last year we started with the ASAM Annual conference in April (San Diego). In May we went to the Western Canada Addiction Forum (Kelowna, BC) where we doubled the number of Canadian TSM network providers in a single weekend. We followed up those conferences with the ASAM Review Course (Grapevine, TX) in July.
In 2019, we want to expand beyond these three conferences to include outreach to mental health therapists and counselors.
What we need
Each exhibit opportunity comes with costs, including registration, marketing materials, and travel. Our estimated conference expense for 2019 is $14,000.
