From its birth, ACASLAM has served as a way of bringing various A capella groups togethers and showcasing our hard work and passion for music. Over time, it has developed into our way of supporting and donating to organizations who exist and fight for a good cause.
This year, C Flat Run, a collegiate A capella group at the University of Pittsburgh has chosen to raise money for an organization called Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Guide Dogs for the Blind (GDB) has been creating partnerships between dogs, people, and communities since 1942, envisioning a world with greater inclusion, oppurtunity, and independence by optimizing the unique capabilities of people and dogs. Their mission is to train dogs for the blind and visually-impaired and also do on-site and at-home training sessions to match, pair, and train clients with guide dogs. One of our very own members was paired with a dog from GDB!
