This year our team will be participating in the Tough Mudder Half and would love your help to complete our 5 for 5 challenge. On July 22nd we will be running 5 miles and attempting 13 obstacles. Please join us in supporting immigrant families by raising $5 for 5 miles (or whatever you can)! Funds will go to The Puente Human Rights Movement to provide legal support, educational workshops, advocacy, health programs, and other much needed services in order to protect, defend, and empower immigrant communities.
Puente Human Rights Movement is a grassroots migrant justice organization based in Phoenix, Arizona that was created in 2007 in response to mounting attacks on immigrant communities led by Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Some of their programs include Underground Library, which provides the community with Ethnic Studies history books that have been blacklisted, their arts co-op collective Puente Ink, the Community Defense Course, and their restorative justice program Cops out of Campus. Additionally, Puente's legal department works to end family separation. They have succeeded in keeping together more than 350 families.

“We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.”
