DOLLAR MATCH CAMPAIGN
OUR CURRENT GOAL: to finance the building of a school in the village of Pousga, Burkina Faso. The building of stage one is underway but we require additional funds to complete the project as soon as we can since school begins in October in Burkina Faso.
Our registered charity, Help Burkina Faso Canada, was made aware of the need for a school for the children of Pousga by our representative in Burkina Faso. Currently, 65 children attend school in a goat shed provided by the chief of the village. It does not protect the children from wind or rain during the months of the rainy season. Money raised through fundraising efforts will be used to buy local materials and employ a local company to construct the school.
The 3-classroom school will be built of concrete to help protect the children from the elements and to ensure the longevity of the building.
DOLLAR MATCH CAMPAIGN: Every donation before October 31, 2020 will be matched up to $10,000 a anonymous donor.
