We are The Redeemed Christian Church of God (Holy Ghost Zone) a Bible-believing Church active in the downtown New Rochelle Community for the last 15 years.
The Church has had quite a few temporary places of worship since its inauguration. We have gathered and worshiped at the Radisson Hotel in New Rochelle. Then moved out to rent a place at 760 Main Street, New Rochelle. Our congregation grew and we had to find a larger meeting space. Then the church moved to 470 North Avenue New Rochelle, with the intention of eventually buying the place, but their expectations weren’t met. The church then temporarily moved to 661 Main Street. Unfortunately, that space was shut down by the city hall for violations and non-approval for as a place of worship. The church then moved to a shared space at an Episcopal church on Huguenot Street. This housed us amongst other churches for about 2 years.
Our most recent move was to 10 Lockwood Avenue, New Rochelle, NY. However, the present space has been put on the market for sale by the building owner. There is a saying that goes that, when one door closes, another door opens.
Currently, we found a building we could rent to own. We have high hopes for this building as it is a wonderful location to invite everyone to worship with us. No amount is too little, we would appreciate any donation made to make this place of worship a success.
Just recently, the church entered into an arrangement to take over an existing popular Club House that is strategically and prominently located in the heart of the City and convert it to a permanent place of worship. This is a million-dollar project and in order to consecrate the deal, we will need a sum of $300,00 (Three Hundred Thousand dollars) to do the necessary works in the property. This amount will include down payment, reconstruction of the building to fit into a place of worship rather than a place where the devil had been taking advantage of souls, architectural/building permits from the city and establishment of certain requirements from the city to meet the re-zoning of the area. Thus, we are asking that whatever way you could be part of this heaven’s project on earth, we will truly appreciate it.
