This year, I'm fundraising for Chinese Progressive Association. I've been a part of the CPA SF community for just over 2.5 years now. CPA has become one of my political homes - a place where I feel both cared for and challenged to grow my politics.
There aren't a lot of photos of me at CPA events, so I wanted to share some of the photos I've taken for CPA that have been most meaningful to me:
1) I love that I get to amplify the voices and work of youth and members through my role as organizational photographer. #ExcelsiorIsNotForSale
2) I'm a big introvert and tend to hide behind my camera, but over the years, my camera has given me so many opportunities to connect with people at CPA events. It has pushed me to stretch and flex my language abilities in order to connect with CPA OG's like Mei Jie.
3) I've learned that I really enjoy taking pictures of the kids of the movement. I love capturing their joy and curiosity at the whole range of things happening around them. These two kids of CPA members were having a grand 'ol time at the Rise for Climate March that happened during Sol2Sol.
Will you join me in supporting CPA's work by making a donation today? Your donation will go towards CPA's self determination fund and allow us to do the work that our community needs, and not what funders want to see.
