During these unprecedented times, cancer hasn't stopped, so neither will we.
We are available 24/7 through our Cancer Helpline (800-227-2345.) Since March, 80% of calls have been COVID-19 related questions such as:
- Is going to treatment worth the risk of getting infected? Or should I delay chemo?
- My treatment was just postponed. What do I do now?
- I’m a cancer survivor that works in the healthcare field. Is it safe for me to go to work?
Cancer.org/Coronavirus – Provides up to date evidence-based information for patients, survivors and caregivers from our Public Health Experts. We know this need is large as we have seen a 961% increase in clicks over the last month.
In addition, we are proud to share that the American Cancer Society has offered its Hope Lodge facilities across the country to healthcare partners, to provide respite for healthcare workers on the frontlines of the pandemic.
While the need continues to grow, so does the impact on our ability to continue our mission. At this time COVID-19 has forced all our fundraising events to be put on hold creating a devastating funding gap for the ACS and potentially compromising our ability.
Thank you for helping make an impact by participating in this event.
