Blessed Sacrament St Charles Borromeo Church GOFundMe Team Message. Blessed Sacrament St Charles Borromeo Parish, Newark New Jersey is the only Catholic Church Surviving on Clinton Hills area Newark. The Church serves a large population of predominantly African American, African and Caribbean worshippers. We are located in the inner city where there are hundreds of poor and homeless people. We regularly provide for these people in need through our food pantry and soup kitchen ministry. Our Church depends 90 % on the donation of the worshipping community. These include a significant population of seniors and new immigrants who have limited or fixed monthly income. The ongoing COVID 19 induced lockdown has reduced our weekly income by a very high percentage. We appeal for your help to continue the ministry of our Church through your generous donations. We understand that a lot of us have limited financial income at this time and we are sensitive to this reality. That is the reason we have been reluctant in asking for donations. We are keeping you all in our daily online Masses and prayers. You can join our daily online Mass at 8:00 am, Rosary at 6:00pm and evening Mass at 6:40pm. Our Sunday Masses are at 8:00am, 10:00am in English language and 12:30pm in Igbo Language. Our teleconference login ID is: 978-990-5000. Access code: 570-414 - You can also download the Freeconfrencecall app and use as our meeting ID: bsscbchurchmedia. You can connect also through Zoom Video Conference. Our Zoom Personal meeting ID is: 381-980-5747. Web: https//us04web.zoom.us/j/3819805747. Our recorded Sunday Masses are available directly on YouTube ; using “Blessed Sacrament St Charles Borromeo Church Newark.” We appreciate your generosity at this time and we pray God to reward your sacrificial giving to enable us to meet the financial needs of our Church and pay our recurrent bills to ensure the upkeep and security of our Church during this pandemic. God bless you.
The Archdiocese of Newark
Welcome. The Archdiocese of Newark is coordinating with the team at GoFundMe to provide one online location for the faithful to support the critical needs of their own parish (through this page) or other parish communities (through the Parishes in Need fund). The faithful may also contribute through their usual channels (e.g., envelopes, other online giving, the Annual Appeal).
Please consider a tax-deductible contribution to your parish on the parish’s GoFundMe page, or to the Parishes in Need fund, which will be used to conduct outreach to those in need and support those communities struggling to continue to pay their employees and church utility bills through this crisis. Contributions raised through the parish GoFundMe page will benefit that parish.
Cardinal Tobin has waived the usual archdiocesan assessment for contributions raised through this initiative. GoFundMe does not charge a platform fee (0%). There is a 0% platform fee and only an industry-standard payment processing fee of 1.9% + $0.30 per donation. If a charity receives a donation of $100, they will net $97.80. Donors will also have the option to tip GoFundMe Charity to support their continued business.
Thank you for your generosity to your parish and to those parish communities unable to meet their critical needs alone.
