I've worked with the Hearing Loss Association for years and this year I’m the Honorary Walk4Hearing Chair for their 20 walks across the US. HLAA is a national organization that advocates for the rights of people with hearing loss and has been an effective consumer voice to influence regulations and policies related to hearing loss and hearing health. They also have local chapters that support individuals on their journey to manage hearing loss. Over 48 million people in the US experience some degree of hearing loss and that number is growing as baby boomers age into hearing loss. As a result, more and more people are impacted by hearing loss. Untreated hearing loss has real impacts to our social and physical wellbeing, including our cognitive health. HLAA is the leading organization to help people manage hearing loss. A donation to HLAA allows the support, education and advocacy they do to continue and to grow.
