Hello! Thank you in advance for your interest in supporting our community garden located right in the heart of Brooklyn. Directly across the street from the Barclay's Center, The Brooklyn Bear's Community Garden has provided a lush little oasis for neighbors and visitors alike. Whether it's strolling the paths and observing the many beautiful plants and flowers or sampling some of the dozens of different herbs, fruits and veggies we take great pride in providing a garden refuge within the concrete jungle that is Brooklyn.
One of our most unique features is in need of your help - we have a rather large pond right in the middle of the garden filled with fish, lily pads and a other aquatic creatures. Over the past couple of years the cold New York winters have taken its toll on the large waterfall that feeds into the pond. The central feature now no longer works and needs repair. We are seeking your support in helping us to provide a much needed facelift to our pond. Specifically we are seeking to repair the waterfall, purchase a new pump to better circulate the water for our fish friends, and deep clean the entire pond to remove years of leaf decay and pond buildup.
We greatly appreciate your support in helping us to beautify our neighborhood and provide a peaceful community gathering place for years to come!
