This One is for You.
Last year, we ran our first Broad Street race for ourselves. This year, we run for Robert Patrick Clarke. Robert Patrick Clarke or Pop Pop as we liked to call him left our lives on July 8, 2019. Our Pop Pop attended every sporting event, play and academic ceremony. He pushed us to always be our best selves and strive for excellence. He always questioned why we got an A and not an A+ or why we scored only 5 points not 6. He instilled in us the values of determination and excellence. Because of him we are the women we are today and support each member of our family in everything we do. Even though he spent his last years battling Parkinson’s disease, Pop Pop never lost his sense of humor and determination to support us by attending any major life event.
Although he wasn’t able to watch us run Broad Street last year, we know he’ll be watching over us this year as we run 10 miles in honor of him. This year we are running for Robert Patrick Clarke and all those currently battling Parkinson’s disease and their families. We are raising money for the Parkinson’s Foundation to find a cure and help millions of people suffering from this disease. Please consider donating in support of not only us, or in memory of our Pop Pop, but for all those who are affected by Parkinson’s disease.
Your donation to the Parkinson's Foundation will help serve the Parkinson’s community by:
· Understanding Parkinson’s through research toward a cure
· Ensuring better care for everyone living with Parkinson’s
· Educating and empowering the Parkinson’s community
