“[The Senior Center] gives me a reason to get up and be active. A great start to the day!”
Sandra E., Ypsilanti Senior Center member
As the snow starts to fly and the darkest days of the year are approaching, the Ypsilanti Senior Center continues to provide the connection and activities to bring sunshine to the lives of seniors. Join us in giving older adults in Ypsilanti a safe way to stay active, engaged, healthy, and connected!
The Ypsilanti Senior Center has now transitioned all of its programming and services to remote delivery, and it needs your support now more than ever to ensure we can continue to provide seniors with meals, wellness checks, technology tutorials and troubleshooting, intergenerational programming (like the Zoom image above!), art classes…and more!
Unlike other social service agencies, the Ypsilanti Senior Center is not a part of city government but instead is an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that helps fill the gap in services not otherwise publicly available to seniors. The senior center’s budget is primarily funded by donations, grants, and rental of the building – rentals that currently cannot take place.
Your tax-deductible donation will ensure that this critical lifeline for seniors stays open.
