At BrightSpring Health Services, we celebrate and honor the social, economic, cultural and political accomplishments of women throughout the year but especially on International Women’s Day. Because we recognize that not all women have equitable economic opportunities, we are joining the efforts with Habitat for Humanity to ensure that all families, especially those lead by single mothers, are empowered to build strength, stability and self-reliance through home ownership.
1 and 4 people around the world are in need of decent housing. On average, women are disproportionately impacted by inadequate and unsafe housing. International Women's Day calls attention to the plight of women struggling to provide decent shelter for their families while celebrating the achievements women have made in breaking the cycle of poverty through proper shelter. People in your community and all over the world partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve the place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage.
International Women's Day has occurred for well over a century, with the first International Women’s Day gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland. Today, International Women’s Day is not specific to any one country, group or organization.
Join us in supporting Habitat on March 8 and throughout the month of March in observance of International Women's Day.
Donate to show Habitat Homeowners how much you care and leave your message of hope. With your support, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and their families.
