Help us support our survivor leaders during this time of need.
Not everyone has access to a laptop, tablet, or enough mobile data to stay connected during this time. For survivors of modern slavery, COVID19 has meant the loss of jobs, loss of social connections, and a heightened sense of vulnerability. Mental health symptoms are more challenging, and the methods for coping are less available. Libraries, cafes, and other places that provide free wifi are no longer open. Survivors who might be in school, cannot access online courses. Survivors who do not have a laptop, cannot access jobs that allow them to work from home. Survivors who are parenting, cannot access free online activities for kids.
Despite the many mutual aid groups developing, survivors might not be able to search for them or be in contact with support services without access to the internet.
We are asking for your help to keep our members connected with each other, with us, and to be able to connect to resources in their community. Supporting one survivor often means you are supporting several, as our members are always helping others in need.
We kindly ask that you join us in supporting our dedicated survivor leaders and members. Your gift will help address social isolation for those who are not digitally connected.
