Bridge the Gap to Education in Uganda

Kicking off June 5th and running through June 11th

Registration is now closed but please contact us at info@johnpaulschool.com if you'd still like to participate.

When you register to help us Bridge the Gap, you pledge to run, walk or bike a 5K (3.1 miles), sometime during the week of June 5 - 11.  You’ll receive your own FOJPS Funder webpage where you can track your progress and share it with family and friends, inspiring them to support you and John Paul Secondary School.

You’ll also receive a limited-edition FOJPS t-shirt, custom racer bib, water bottle, earbuds and mini hand sanitizer and a chance to win some great prizes.

Your commitment to the kids in Uganda is inspiring. Share it!

As soon as you register and set up your FOJPS Funder page, please start sharing this on your social media pages. You'll be amazed to see how many of your friends and family are inspired by what you're doing and want to pitch in. You can re-share your page as many times as you want before and throughout the week of the 5K to help you reach your goal.

Nothing like a little friendly competition!

Prizes will be awarded for our top fundraisers, both individual and team. Form a team with a group of neighbors, a bunch of girlfriends, school or scout groups, friends from the dog park, you name it! Get out and enjoy nature and your group of besties while helping kids in Uganda – what could be better?

Any question on this registration process?  Please email info@johnpaulschool.com.

Many thanks to our wonderful event sponsor, Thrivent.

Bridge the Gap to Education
Help us Bridge the Gap to get kids back to school in Uganda after nearly a year

The pandemic has had a detrimental impact on education in Africa, and many countries like Uganda without widespread internet access and infrastructure were forced to shut down schools in March 2020 with no remote learning options. Most students in Uganda will have gone a year or more before being able to return to any type of schooling. Many schools have had to close their doors permanently with increased costs and no tuition funding. Thanks to our amazing donors, John Paul Secondary School has been able to retain all of its teachers and opened its doors to students in late 2020. We are excitedly welcoming students back in waves as the government allows but the financial impact for the school with this phased approach and costs due to Covid-19 remediation has been great. Will you please consider helping us bridge this funding gap to get the students back to JPSS?
