The care and well being of animals is very close to our hearts. Please let your charitable donation to Recycled Pomeranians & Schipperkes Rescue be your only gifts to us. Additionally, your presence at our shower and/or wedding is your present. A contribution to Recycled Poms, a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity, would be greatly appreciated.
In 2014, Brian saw a plea on facebook to rescue a senior Pomeranian at the Parker County animal shelter in Weatherford, TX. The same afternoon, we rushed to pick up the stray dog, which we named Biscuit. Sadly, Biscuit had a terminal illness, and was only with us less than 3 months. Despite the quick loss, we knew Biscuit had a loving home for his last days.
Two short months later, we discovered Recycled Pomeranians and Schipperkes Rescue. We decided to foster, and met Cheri Fults, the co-founder of RPSR. We took home 2 dogs to foster, and quickly became "foster failures". Jeff's mother Jane adopted Lily, and we adopted Mandy, in 2015. As the past 4 years have gone by, Brian began volunteering with Reycled Poms, and is serving as a Board member for the past 2 years. In March 2019, the group took in almost 50 Pomeranians surrendered by their owner. We added Adonis and Pepper to our home, from the group of 50. They are a father and son duo, both mature/seniors and an absolute delight.
Recycled Poms is an all-volunteer non-profit dog rescue group. "RP" takes in and finds new homes for around 400 dogs per year. All RP dogs (and a few cats!) live in foster homes, until permanent homes are found. The cost of medical care, food, and supplies is immense, and the need is always there. Many dogs come to RP with significant medical issues, which are paid for by the Rescue. Donations and adoption fees are the life blood of the group, which allows RP to save every Pomeranian they can.
Recycled Poms is a grass-roots organization, and the money goes straight to the care of animals in need.
Thanks and Love to you !
