It’s time to put the rubber on the road, shake the summertime cobwebs out of your legs, and start training for this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month charity bike rides!
Join hospitality industry icon Tony Abou-Ganim on one of several fully supported 10-100-mile rides around the country, while you pedal to raise funds for the Helen David Relief Fund, a program of the USBG National Charity Foundation that assists bartenders affected by breast cancer.
As a Negroni lover and enthusiastic cyclist, Tony Abou-Ganim, founded not just the Helen David Relief Fund but also Team Negroni, and the Negroni Week bike rides. The Team Negroni Program kicked off during Negroni Week 2015. Since that first ride, groups of bartenders and spirits aficionados around the country have been jumping on their bikes during Negroni Week in order to raise funds and awareness for the Helen David Relief Fund (HDRF) at the USBG National Charity Foundation.
The goal for Breast Cancer Awareness Month is to raise funds to support the HDRF, and to encourage bartenders, industry members, and spirits aficionados to choose a healthier lifestyle, all while building camaraderie and community.
The rides keep growing and in 2018 the HDRF is looking to bring the community together even more, with more rides and opportunity for multiple brands to get involved. We've expanded to 13 rides this year and are working hard to reach our fundraising goal of $100k+!
