Over 30 years ago, refugee women banded together to create a place for other refugees to get the support they needed. It was the lifeline for people coming to help make our country great. Now, Refugee Women's Alliance (ReWA) in Seattle offers a holistic range of services to 11,000 refugees and immigrants from 70 countries in our community yearly: counseling, legal assistance, multilingual early learning, citizenship and English classes, homelessness resources, and so much more, in over 50 languages.
For my 45th birthday (gasp!) I'm raising money for ReWA. Any amount helps, and I will match the first $200 in donations and ALL the donations on my actual birthday 7/12 (Bham friends may also get thanked with overly demonstrative hugs and treats). Please join me in lifting up the wonderful work of these people and the hopes and dreams of their clients. Thank you!
