I am not an accomplished runner, nor am I a cancer survivor. But, I am an an avid believer in the power of hope, determination, love and human connection.
No one embodied this in spirit and action more than the young female middle-distance runner I first read about in Runner’s World Magazine in 2017...
Some stories just stick with you.
This year I have the honor of running the Boston Marathon in support of the Brave Like Gabe Foundation. Founded by professional runner, Gabriele ‘Gabe’ Grunewald, to help raise awareness and fund treatment for rare cancer diagnoses.
I greatly appreciate any support you can offer on behalf of this cause as so many we know and love continue to fight some form of this dreaded disease.
In the words of Gabriele Grunewald and in the spirit of Boston Strong:
“I hope people see that you can still make something beautiful and powerful out of a bad situation.”
