I am honored to be running Boston Marathon with my daughter for the second time. This will be my 5th consecutive Boston Marathon. This year I will be running for the Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest. As a parent, educator, and track coach, I felt that supporting the children of the Boys & Girls Clubs was a natural fit.
Although this is my 5th Boston Marathon, I will be running the with my daughter again in 2020. We feel very fortunate to be able to do the 26.2 mile historic journey together as Mother daughter.
I am proud to be able to contribute to the mission of supporting the students and run the 2020 Boston Marathon for the Boys & Girls Club of MetroWest . Please help me with my fundraising efforts.
Feel free to share my link with friends and family.
Let's do it for the kids; they are our future!

"When I am at the Club, my mom is able to relax because she knows I am spending my after school hours in a safe place, where I won't be getting myself into any trouble. I've seen some of my friends make bad choices, but thanks to the amazing staff at the Club, I have learned how to make smart decisions on my own. I don't know what I would do without their guidance and support" ~Francisco, Age 18 (Framingham Club Member)
The Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest serves more than 200 kids a day at our Framingham location, and more than 3,200 youth per year across all three of our locations (Framingham, Hudson, and Marlborough). Our low annual membership fee of only $25 per child provides impactful social, educational, physical, and cultural programming that enhances the developments of our members and prepares them to be responsible and productive members of our community.
We provide transportation from most of the Framingham schools to our Clubhouse, and stay open until 6 PM for the younger members and 9 PM for teenagers. On any given day, you can see our members working on their homework, playing a game in our gym, building a STEM project in the Tech Center, or doing arts & crafts with a volunteer group. There is always something new and exciting going on at the Club!
We are located in South Framingham where we serve a diverse population. We work to eliminate the financial barrier for families to access our programming and we rely on donors and sponsors to help us fund the remainder of our programmings. The actual cost per child is closer to $1,000 per year.
We are so excited to be a part of Team Framingham for the 2019 Boston Marathon! The funds raised through this campaign will go directly to our Framingham Clubhouse to support programming and safe transportation!
