Hi! My name is Caroline Driscoll and I am thrilled to be a member of the Boston Public Library's 2020 Boston Marathon Team!
Growing up in Brookline (MA), my neighborhood along Beacon Street was transformed into one big block every year on Patriots Day as we watched runners pass along Mile 23 with that iconic end on Boylston Street nearly in sight. Although I have run two other marathons and countless other shorter races, I have yet to conquer my hometown marathon - 2020 will (finally) be the year!
The Library is a civic and cultural beacon for the City of Boston, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and beyond. I have seen how its motto "Free to All" is implemented in so many ways: from children and teen programming, literacy tutoring, summer concerts in the Copley Library's beautiful courtyard, and speakers from across the country and beyond. Likewise, the BPL's branches play a crucial role as community hubs throughout our great city.
Please join me in supporting the BPL! I promise to run the miles, but need your help to get me over the finish line!
Any donation, no matter the size, will help Team BPL achieve our goal. To learn more about everything that your donation will support, feel free to ask me directly, or visit the Boston Public Library at bpl.org.
