As some of you know, I sit on the board of an amazing, life-saving organization that I've had a connection to going back to 1990 and my time in ACT UP. I'm usually pretty uncomfortable asking for money, but this has been my main acception and the one I feel most passionately about. Over the past 27 years Treatment Action Group (TAG) has made a global impact working to ensure that all people with HIV, TB, or HCV receive lifesaving treatment, care, and information and continues to do so, even in these trying times. I am so proud to sit on the board of an organization with such a dedicated and brilliant staff who work tirelessly to help others.
On April 15th I'll be running the 123rd Boston Marathon (the world's oldest annual marathon - my 5th marathon and my second time for Boston!). I know this is short notice, but I'd like to raise $5,000 for TAG in just under a month (27 days 17 hours from the time I'm typing this!). If you can manage to make a contribution, I would be forever grateful! Even if it's giving up a fancy cup of coffee for one day and sending that $6 or $7 this way, it will make a difference!! Check out TAG's website (link above) for more information. Thank you in advance for anything you can do to help this amazing organization...and your support will help power me through the 26.2 miles! With love and gratitude, jim x
