After a 25ish year hiatus, I have found a reason to get back in the water. My friend, Bill Bracken, has been involved in the Frogman Swims for several years now. His stories about the work done by the Navy SEAL Foundation convinced me that I should be a part of it too. Though my family has a long history in military service, I've never done my part. I don't think this swim will adequately make up for that, but it's a start. I have been asked to swim in honor of the memory of Chief Special Warfare Officer, Thomas Valentine. You can read about him at this link:
The Navy SEAL Foundation is an amazing organization run by volunteers. Their mission is to provide support and assistance for the Naval Special Warfare community and families like Chief Valentine's. My small part in this will be to fundraise and swim a 5K in Boston Harbor on June 2nd this year. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your support,
