This is my 3rd Boston Marathon in the past three years. All three with the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation and I couldn't be more excited. Excited to push my own limits, to help others and put on that Celtics jersey. In my household, we believe in Celtics Pride. Not just for what is done on the court but also for what is done off the court and that's why I couldn't feel more honored to raise money and run for the Shamrock Foundation. The Green Runs Deep Marathon Team believes in helping others and that's what I strive to do everyday. If you have the means to do so, please consider supporting myself and the Shamrock Foundation. As always, I'll be running in remembrance of loved ones who passed too soon: Joe Kearney, Kate Schurtz, Nipsey Hussle, Charlie Poveromo, Brian Benckini, Erin and Max Nusbaum, and Jaxson Utain.
Here is some information on the Shamrock Foundation:
The Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation The mission of the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is to extend the reach of the Boston Celtics championship legacy into our community through programs that directly benefit children in need. To do this, the Foundation applies a team mentality much like that of the 17-time world champion Celtics - and relies on key partnerships with New England-based non-profit organizations who provide vital services to youth and to whom we offer funding and resources to help increase our collective impact in the community. This year our partners are:
Berklee City Music
Network Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston
Boston Children's Hospital Horizons for Homeless Children
Perkins School for the Blind Boch Center
Positive Coaching Alliance
