These dogs are dying! The longer they stay in these circumstances, the fewer we can save.
The National Borzoi Rescue Foundation-International secured four Borzoi, abandoned to the streets of South Korea, pulled from high kill local shelters and slated for euthanasia. This is an urgent situation! All four are being treated for neglect. Two others died before we could save them. These dogs are at risk and need your help immediately.
Your donations go directly to medical care, medications, testing and boarding during quarantine (30 - 60 days) to certify that they are disease free and healthy before travel, food, regional transportation fees, custom transport crates and air travel for these Borzoi being rescued in South Korea.
Not all who wander are lost. They are abandoned; malnourished, injured, homeless, desperately trying to survive and in need of help. These are the Borzoi of South Korea:
Kalle - 5 yr old female - former show dog who's fall from grace had her wandering the streets alone suffering from neglect.
Jake - 7 month old male - a joyful pup despite his frightening history. Baby Jake is blind in one eye and wears a large burn scar on his rear. Pulled from death row.
Jenne - 1 yr old female - a young girl receiving medical attention for neglect related issues. Facing life as a breeding female if not removed from this situation.
The longer they remain, the less chance of survival they have.
Kai - 8 yr old female - abandoned, in need of medical attention for a tick born disease. Dear Kai succombed to Babeosis and maltreatment before she could be transported. Her life was honored in a private cremation ceremony.
Jensen - unknown age male - heartworm positive, Jensen died before he could be helped.
Bodie - unknown age male - heartworm positive, Bodie died before he could be helped.
