Please consider lending your support to the students of Bolton High School!
What? Any Junior or Senior Bolton student who scores an ACT Composite of 20 will be invited to attend the inaugural Win Honor Trip to Arlington, Texas for Six Flag STEM Days. STEM Days afford learning opportunities outside the classroom and provide real-world learning in a thrilling, experiential environment.
Why? Bolton’s 2019 graduation rate was the best since 2013, but in line with state and district trends, Bolton has seen a decline in ACT scores in recent years. This phenomenon partly results from an increased number of test takers. One of the results of this disconnect is that significant numbers of students who complete the TOPS curriculum do not have a TOPS-eligible ACT score. The Win Honor Trip provides an additional incentive for hard work in ACT preparation and rewards students for their accomplishments.
Where does my contribution go? Your contribution funds a portion of the cost of the trip for eligible students. While funds have already been raised, the campaign goal reflects the expected shortfall needed to make the trip a reality. Funds received in excess of those necessary will be applied to the cost of next year’s Trip.
What else should I know? The Bolton High School Alumni Association connects Bolton graduates with each other and with the School of today. The Association is assisting Bolton in this important endeavor. Please visit the Association’s website to become an active member and learn how to stay informed about our mission and events.
