Every year the Bull Terrier Rescue of Virginia is overwhelmed with joy by your support and sending us all, and more, of the supplies we ask to help make our permanent and unadoptable foster dogs’ lives better via our Wishlist. This year we have an URGENT need and are instead asking for your help in regards to the rising medical expenses for Bolo. Bolo came to us in 2012 as a one-year-old who had lost part of his paw in a fight, labeled as "aggressive", and set to be euthanized. We stepped in and soon discovered through patience, love and training that Bolo was nothing more than a young and enthusiastic Bull Terrier! But we also discovered he has a compulsive condition that compels him to ingest objects that are not food, such as collars, metal, plastic, bedding, blankets, dirt, rocks, paper, and even feces. Even with constant supervision Bolo has had to face surgery to clear blockages. Recently this little guy has had to have emergency surgery to clear another blockage but has run into severe complications. He has had 4 surgeries in the last 7 days and the bills are adding up. This is a financial hardship on the BTRVA. Would you please consider a donation to BTRVA’s fundraiser for Bolo and sharing Bolo’s story? BTRVA is a 501(c)3 organization and your contributions are tax deductible. No donation is too small! In this season of giving, we ask for your kind support and enthusiasm to bring Bolo back to his permanent foster home. Wishing you all a very happy holiday season!
