The Boeing PT-17 Stearman is a plane in the DFW Wing located at the Lancaster Texas airport. The Stearman was one of the first planes that the new pilots of WWII would fly on their quest for their wings. This year we had to have the engine removed and rebuilt, and now must replace the carburetor. This has set our re fabric project back to next year. With 2020 just around the corner, all aircraft must have the new ADS-B transponders installed. We are trying to raise the funds to install the equipment, so we can keep on flying in the national airspace.
