Hello, my name is Junau Boucard and I’m a current MBA student at the University of Connecticut (UConn) who will be graduating this coming spring. I’m excited to be running the 2018 TCS New York City Marathon as my first full marathon in support of the Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation (Blue Dragon).
I learned about this great organization while on a UConn study abroad trip in Vietnam earlier this year. During my trip, I met with a civil rights lawyer from Blue Dragon, who both inspired and motivated me to do my part in spreading the word to help end child trafficking in Vietnam.
Blue Dragon is a charitably funded, non-governmental organization based in Hanoi, Vietnam that helps children escape from crisis by offering a range of services & specialized care, including providing stable living conditions, a formal education, and more.
To date, Blue Dragon has:
o Rescued 774 people from trafficking
o Represented 66 people in court cases
o Sent 4,833 children back to school & training
o Provided shelter to 590 children
o Placed 259 teens in jobs
o Served 494,193 meals
o Built 92 homes for families
o Reunited 496 runaways with their families
o Obtained legal papers for 11,623 people
Your donation and support will help children break away from crisis while creating long-term change for both Vietnam and the world!
