This team was created to raise money and awareness for Blue Dog Rescue. We are an all-volunteer, charitable organization working to find permanent, loving homes for at-risk homeless dogs in Central Texas. We foster dogs who may not have a chance at adoption due to size, color, breed, or medical condition. Many are in danger of being euthanized due to overcrowded shelters and neglect. As a small, foster-based group, we bring these dogs into our homes and give them the care and attention they need as we help them transition from homelessness to life with a family. In addition to the basics – vaccinations, spay/neuter, and microchip – our dogs receive proper veterinary attention to treat all medical conditions. We also work on house and crate training, basic obedience, and social skills. Most of all, we show them love, a first for too many dogs. Each dog receives customized attention based on their unique needs. The emotional and physical transformations of some of our fosters are truly unbelievable. To provide this level of care to each dog we foster, Blue Dog Rescue relies solely on generous donations from individuals.
