In mid-October, Hurricane Michael hit the Florida Panhandle, destroying over 3,000 structures, hundreds of homes, and taking over 20 lives. Many are left without homes to live in, and businesses have been decimated. As part of a class project at DePaul University, our goal is to help The American Red Cross Hurricane Michael Relief achieve their goals of raising money for the relief, and create a new way of connecting the organization with students by increasing awareness. Your support and contribution is greatly appreciated, and will directly impact and help the lives of many Floridian communities.

How Your Donation Will Help: The Red Cross will use your donation to provide those affected by Hurricane Michael with clean water, safe shelter and hot meals when they need them most. These essential services include:
Overnight Shelter Stays: The Red Cross opens shelters to make sure people have a safe place to stay, a hot meal and access to other support from trained volunteers.
Distribution of Emergency Supplies: Emergency supplies help people in the immediate aftermath of a disaster and in the days and weeks that follow. Red Cross comfort kits contain basic personal supplies needed in the aftermath of a disaster, such as a toothbrush, deodorant and shampoo. Other emergency supplies could include tarps, rakes, shovels, and trash bags to help people clean up their homes and return to normalcy.
Emergency Response Vehicles: Mobile Response Vehicles circulate throughout affected communities after disasters to hand out food, relief supplies, information, and comfort to those in need.
Health and Mental Health Contacts: Red Cross health and mental health volunteers travel to disaster sites to help people cope. Health workers can provide first aid treatment for injuries, monitor the well-being of people staying in Red Cross shelters, and replace prescription medications or eyeglasses.
Thank You: We at Blue Demon Relief, The American Red Cross and those affected by Hurricane Michael sincerely thank you for your contribution and for joining us to increase awareness and provide relief.
