Hello Easterseals Oregon Friends,
For almost 30 years, Easterseals Oregon has been selling tulips at our Annual Bloomfest Event, which takes place during the week of Easter every year. Bloomfest is our largest fundraising event that raises funds to support our programs that serve venerable seniors, veterans and individuals living with a disability and/or special needs. This event is crucial to Easterseals Oregon’s success in providing much needed resources to our Oregon Communities.
As the COVID-19 outbreak evolves, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends for the next eight (8) weeks all mass gatherings and large community events be cancelled or postponed. Unfortunately, this effects Easterseals Oregon Annual Bloomfest event that was scheduled for April 4th – April 11th. Many Bloomfest volunteers and participating partners have understandably cancelled their sale in order to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and keep their communities healthy.
Easterseals Oregon’s number one priority is the health and safety of our volunteers and Bloomfest supporters. To prevent putting anyone at risk of contracting COVID-19, we have made the decision to CANCEL ALL ON-SITE BLOOMFEST SALES. CDC has encouraged us to reschedule events to a later date. However, Bloomfest is not an event we can postpone, as the tulip season will be over by the end of April.
Bloomfest is our largest fundraiser to support Easterseals Oregon programs throughout the year. With the cancelation, our program services may be limited and/or cut. We are asking all of our supporters to share this page with their friends, family and colleagues to make a tax-deductible donation in support of Bloomfest. This will help Easterseals Oregon keep our mission of helping vulnerable seniors, veterans and individuals living with disabilities moving forward.
Thank you all for your continued support. We appreciate all of you!
