There are 160 Lummi youth ages infant to 17 years old in the State of WA foster care system. We will always do what we can to bring all of our youth back home to live with our Lummi families and until then we want to do what we can to teach our kids who are in the foster care system who they are and where they come from. The late Si-mi-lhot (Theresa Hillaire-Thomas) always took care of Lummi children for most of her life. Whether it was as the head cook at Lummi tribal school or as the matriarch of her own big family, she loved all of the children she was around. We now have the ability to raise money and awareness that we must all step up to help prevent our children from going into the State foster care system. Join us please?
