Brian and I met while we were working together in the White House Counsel's Office under President Obama. Brian was diagnosed with ALS about 3.5 years ago, shortly after he and his wife Sandra (also an Obama WH alum) had their second daughter. Brian has always been a great person -- extraordinarily gifted, profoundly good, and a lot of fun -- but his response to this challenge has been one of the most inspiring things I've seen in my life. He has given his life over to the cause of helping find a cure for ALS and has rallied thousands to the cause. There is now very real hope for a cure for Brian, which if it works could help many more. But we need to raise an extraordinary sum --$1.7m--to move it forward. Please give what you can. All donations arre tax deductible. You can also check out Brian's twitter (@bsw5020) where he tracks his efforts and amazing story.
