On August 5, 2019, I was diagnosed with stage 3b colon cancer at age 29, one month after my engagement and 1.5 years after losing my uncle to the same dreadful disease. With my awesome team of doctors, it was decided for me to have my entire colon removed. This would lead to a temporary ileostomy and months of chemotherapy. I completed my last chemo on Christmas Eve 2019 and this January I am one year with no evidence of disease!
We are running for my felow colon cancer patients, my Uncle Ron, my grandfather and 2 great uncles who have all lost their lives to this terrible disease.
I would love to have you on team #stillrollinwithnocolon. Sign up for the 5k or 1 mile fun run. If you cant make it to the run please consider donating to the wonderful cause. I hope to see you on March 28th!
Thank you for supporting March to Get Screened and joining us to increase colon cancer awareness.
