A little about Purpose Over Popularity Movement Purpose of Popularity was Founded in 2017 . Out of a passion for helping those in our community, daily. Seeing how a little can go a long way,we formed our organization to provide sensible solutions, while teaching our community how to become self sustaining. We do this through Family, Community Restoration, Wellness and Economic Empowerment. We believe that a thriving multiracial democracy requires racial, social, and economic justice for all.
The recent documenting of Police Brutality has highlighted the systematic racism and oppression many black people face daily. It has also shed light on how, more now, than ever before we need to come together.
The injustice that has recently been at forefront of all of our minds has presented our communities with additional challenges: ensuring that our neighbors have stable housing, food, supplies, and income. Our communities are in need of resources and opportunities.
We want no family to go hungry Or without the bare necessities during this crucial time.
By donating to Purpose over Popularity , you will be providing Bay Area families and Businesses directly with funds for food, rent, utilities, and basic necessities.
Micro-Grants for Families are $200-$1000 depending on the need of the individual families.
WE can take care of eachh other when we come together.
Our goal is to continue to help our communities become self-sustaining through Family, Community Restoration, and Economic Empowerment.
Students
Additionally we are looking to provide individuals with scholarships to further their Education or continue it.
Scholarships $500- $750
Business Grants for Black Business Owners are $500-$1000
The business grant is to cover any business related expenses.
Group Economics Funding
10% of Funds goes towards buying and restoring properties. The group agrees to actively and consciously pursue the economic interest together to create a sustainable and secure economy for our communities.

The NAACP legal defense and education fund.
Seeks structural changes to expand democracy, eliminate disparities, and achieve racial justice in a society that fulfills the promise of equality for all Americans.
As we distribute funds our website will be updated with messages from the recipients along with how many people you have helped.
